Best time in a 5K race and in which meet?

18:35-Alliance Running Invitational

Tell us how your summer training is going?

It's going pretty well. Getting back into the groove of long runs is a little tough but other than that I'm making a lot of progress.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

My main goal is to go sub 18 minutes and another goal is to place top 5 on the state podium.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I started officially running in 7th. In 6th grade I ran our school 5k in about 22 minutes and our cross country coach came up to my dad and talked him into putting me in cross country.

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?

Depending whether or not I go sub 18 minutes then I might participate in Nike Cross Nationals.

What is your favorite course to run in Ohio?

I would say my favorite course would have to be the Alliance Running Invitational because it is my PR course.

What is the toughest course to run in Ohio?

I think the toughest course would have to be regionals in Troy. Basically all it consists of is running up and down, nothing really to look at. I'm a fan of a lot of turns in different directions.

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?

I usually emphasize regionals because we have easily the toughest region in the state. My coach always says that I need to make it out of regionals and anything that happens after that is just a bonus.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?

I really liked the Tiffin Invitational because we have a special trip that's involved with that race. Plus, it's a cool course with lots of hills.

Favorite cross country memory?

My favorite cross country memory was running districts. It was nothing but mud. So basically the race was more for fun and there was less pressure.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

My favorite thing to do when I'm not running is probably just relaxing by watching some movie or playing soccer.

Favorite quote? Favorite quote: Somebody may beat me, but they are going to have to bleed to do it. ~Steve Prefontaine

What shoes do you train in?

I actually train in two different pairs of shoes. I alternate Saucony Ride 6 and Saucony Virata.

What shoes do you race in?

I raced in Puma crossfire spikes as of last season. I might or might not get new spikes.

What's on your Ipod when you go out for runs?

I don't usually listen to music but if I did, I would include multiple Eminem songs and lots of pump-up and up-beat songs.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

I would most like to meet Steve Prefontaine but since that's not possible, I would also like to meet Mary Cain.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

I was abducted by aliens.
