What are your goals for the upcoming season?

First and foremost get my team back to state and placing well there. We return everyone from varsity and have a very strong incoming class. It is a very attainable goal. I also have a goal of winning state individually and breaking my Dad’s record of 14:58 in the process.

I started in 7th grade just for fun to see what it was like. I ended up loving the team and competition cross country brought and quit soccer to continue my running career!

Yes, I plan on competing at either Footlocker or Nike Nationals. I’m not sure which one I’ll compete at yet.

What is your favorite course to run in Ohio?

I love the state meet course. It’s a fast course and gives me the opportunity to PR when it really counts!

What is the toughest course to run in Ohio?

Without a doubt, CNVP. We do hill repeats over the summer on the course and those have been some of the hardest workouts I’ve had to do. It takes guts to win on there. I loved racing on that course the one opportunity I had to!

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at? : I always put extra emphasis on the Boardman Spartan Invitational. It’s a big meet with quality competition. It gives me a nice benchmark on where I’m at. It’s also our regional course, so it’s definitely important to get familiar with it!

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?

It has to be State meet freshmen year with my team. I loved competing at the biggest stage with my teammates by my side. It was an unforgettable experience and makes me want to bring a team down to State again that much more!

Favorite cross country memory?

Getting lost on a course and running an extra mile in the rain and mud is always a fun one! If you see that 23:40 on milesplit, that’s what happened.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

I enjoy hanging out with my friends and/or my cats.

I’ve always trained in the Brooks Ravenna. I got them in 7th grade and haven’t changed since!

I race in the Nike Zoom Victory XC. I refuse to wear socks when I race even though my feet end up a bloody mess half the time.

What's on your Ipod when you go out for runs?

I can’t listen to music when I run. Before races I like to listen to my girl T-Swift to get my pumped up!

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

Luke Wagner. He’s my inspiration.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

I have a fear of lawnmowers. It makes summer running problematic at times.
