Mason CC Invitational Preview
This years Mason Cross Country Invitational features some of the best runners and teams from Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. The D1 runs feature both the Ohio boy's and girl's number one ranked runners, Mason's Nick Grismer and St. Ursula's Annie Hefferan and Kentucky's #5 ranked runner, Cooper's Zachary Taylor. On the team side, the boy's D1 race features the #2 and 3 teams from KY, Cooper and Trinity. Carmel, Indiana's #1 ranked Girl's team, has the #1, 2, 3, and 5th ranked girl's in the state, led by sisters Haley Harris (#1) and Kelsey Harris (#2). the Mason girl's are ranked #1 in Ohio and the Beavercreek Girls are ranked #3. The highlight of the D2 races may be Footlocker national qualifier, Gabby Karas of Collins from Shelbyville, KY.

In a duel between two girls who have run around 4:50 in the mile and among the top cross country runners in the Northeast, Pennridge's Marissa Sheva was able to pull away from Cumberland Valley's Mady Clahane for a 9 second win with her final time of 18:48
