The Geneva girls 4x800 team, 2nd at State, had a run of redemption at the NBON, proving that they were the best 4x800 team in the State. The team of Sr. Emily Deering, Jr. Summer Arndt, So. Dareion Marrsion and Jr. Brittany Aveni won in a time of 8:59.83 against a very talented field. Unlike at State where the girls had a large lead going into the last leg and the anchor, Jr. Brittany Aveni, went out too strong and faltered down the last 100m, Aveni hung with the pack the first 400 and used her speed the last 200 to finish strong.
