Lexington Sr. Dominique Clairmonte came back from her second place finish last weekend at Saturday Night Lights to dominate the Midwest Meet of Champions and set a new course record of 17:35.08. Clairmonte, on a nasty, cold and windy day, pushed hard the entire race.
Fr. Felicia Pasadyne of Brunswick, the #1 Freshman girl in the State ran second in 17:58.83.
The D2 Lexigton girls dominated the Team race going 1, 3, 5 + 16 + 21, scoing 46 points to runner up Brunswick's 90.
On the boy's side, Sr. Andrew Jordan of Watkins Memorial surged just after the 2-mile and won in a time of 15:07.92. 2nd went to Danny Cohen of Solon with a time of 15:23.65.
Solon won the team title, scoring 110 points to runner-up Sheridan's 157. Watkins Memorial was 3rd with 157.
