Oberlin, Ohio Northern, Tiffin, Marietta & Youngstown - The Ohio Indoor Season shifts to High Gear!

Chagrin Falls Sr. Joe Bistritz ran ran an early State leading 9:17 3,200.  Shown here in last springs OHSAA D2 1,600 finals. Bistritz was 2nd in 4:15.02, outbattling  Notre Dame - Cathedral Latin's Mick Stanovek (4:15.04.  They were both the vitims of CVCA's Ryan Adams who won with a blistering 4:07.12.  One of the fastest 1,600's in Ohio history.  Bistritz is also the back-back D2 boys State XC champion.

Oberlin, Ohio Northern, Tiffin, Marietta & Youngstown all have High School meets this weekend.  We should see a lot of great early season performances and the Ohio Performance rankings will defintely see a change.  Ohio MileSplit will have all of the meet results and several photo galleries of some of the meets.  It should be an exciting weekend of Track & Field in Ohio.  

Last night up at Spire in Geneva at the NEOITC- Erie Div. meet, we saw new State leading times on the boys side by Joe Bistritz of Chagrin Falls (Eastside Track Club) in the 3,200, 9:17.72, Justin Moore of Shker Hts. in the 1,600, 4:36.91, Brian Zaborski of Nordonia in the 800, 2:03.75, Tony Woods of Nordonia in the 200, 22.95 and Zack Kuntz of Madison in the HJ, 5-10.
