There were nine new Ohio #1's over the last weekend.  However, the most outstanding performance in any division was that of Watkins Memorial Sr. Andrew Jordan.  He continues each week to demonstrate that he is one of the best ever distance runners in Ohio T&F history.  Only Allan Scharsu of Austintown Fitch has run faster.   Scharsu ran an 8:40.99 in winning the Golden West Invitational in June of 1978.

Jordan's run at the Eastern Relays on Friday evening overshadows perhaps the best weekend for Ohio 3,200m runners in history.  Five other runners ran under 9:10.  Hudson's Gavin Gaynor ran Ohio All-Time #3, current US #2, with an 8:50.59, finishing 2nd to Jordan at Eastern,  Maumee Jr. Zak Kirk was 4th at Eastern, running a 9:03.93, current #US #7 for juniors, in Cleveland at the Berea Relays, Chagrin Falls Sr. Joe Bistritz ran a 9:08.47,  at the Wayne Invitational, Sr. Stephen Jones of Troy ran a 9:09.14 and again  in the Eastern Relays, So. Dustin Horter of Lakota East ran a 9:09.15, current US #4 for sophomores, finishing in 6th place.
