PA goes to OH: WATCH Bumgarner & Forsythe shine in the Buckeye State

While the eastern part of Pennsylvania threw down on Saturday and the central part of PA had a few big meets, there wasn't exactly a go-to meet out west this weekend. But it was a huge weekend across state borders in Ohio, with a pair of huge meets at the Boardman Spartan Invitational in Youngstown and the Galion Cross Country Festival. Our friends at Ohio MileSplit got some great coverage at both meets and captured some of PA's best in action.

At the Boardman Spartan Invitational, Waynesburg Central's Ben Bumgarner made a stellar season debut, running 16:18 to take the win in the D2 race. He's one of the state's top threats in AA this season and this start is certainly one he was looking for. Watch Bumgarners's win below.

Franklin Regional's Mark Provenzo posted a big race in the D1 division, finishing tenth in 16:27. The North Allegheny boys kept up their big season, too, taking fourth as a team with a nine second 1-5 gap. In the girls' D2 race, Villa Maria Academy took second with 146 points. At the Galion Cross Country Festival, Winchester Thurston's Tristan Forsythe followed up a great start to his season across state lines. Forsythe, who won at the Red, White, & Blue Classic last week, took seventh at Galion in 16:03, a PR for the distance despite some wet conditions.  Watch Forsythe's performance in the D1 race below.
