Sr. India Johnson of Hilliard Davidson set a new course record in wining the Championship gilr's race at the Centerville Saturday Night Lights in 17.13.60. (photo Chris Greene)

Hilliard Davidson Sr. India Johnson remained undefeated this year setting a new course record in the Championship race at Centerville Saturday Night Lights. Johnson ran 17:13.60 to break Centerville graduate Lainey Studebaker's previous record of 17:33.36. Johnson was pushed by Morgan Gigandet of Troy, who went under Studebaker's record as well. The Troy Jr. led by .2 of a second through the 2-mile until Johnson took charge.

The Woodridge girl's, led by Clare Willet took the team title. with a score of 133 to 2nd place Centerville's 142.

Jr. Arjun Jha of Thomas Worthington set a new course record of 15:05.20 (OH #2) in winning the boy's Championship race. The old course record of 15:29.80, was set last year by Brad Davis of Dublin Jerome. Joining Jha with time under the old course record were the 2-4 finishers: Middletown So. Conant Smith was 2nd in 15:14.00 (OH #3), duPont Manual Sr. Yared Nuguse was 3rd in 15:19.1 and Jha's teammate, Andy Payne, was 4th in 15:27.5. Smith's time is a US sophomore #3.

Thomas Worthington ran away with the boy's team race going 1-3-5-14-58(92)(94) for 81 points to 2nd place Woodridge's 125.
