MileSplit Scholastic Showcase at Spire - Distance Report

           Olentangy Orange High School's Hunter Moore is the #1 ranked 3200m runner in the country. 


In 3200m action at the recent MileSplit Scholastic Showcase at Spire meet, Hunter Moore of Olentangy Orange High School put together an outstanding run as he won the race by 9 seconds. His 9:03.05 clocking is an Ohio #1 and a U.S. #1 as well! 

Brunswick High School's Andre Bollam-Godbott pulled away late to edge Nick Chaplik of Louisville and Wadsworth's Nick Miller in the highly entertaining Boys 1600m competition. The lead pack worked together for much of the race, but it was Bollam-Godbott who prevailed with the win after unleashing an impressive kick over the last lap.  His finishing time was 4:16.33 while Chaplik registered a 4:17.36 for his 2nd place effort and Miller rounded out the top 3 with his 4:18.68 result.  


           Andre Bollam-Godbott took the 1600m win against a talented field of runners.  


Maggie Farrell from Battle Creek Lakeview had a busy afternoon as she participated in both the 1600m and 3200m races. In the 3200m, Farrell captured the win in a fantastic time of 10:41.21.  This mark is good for a Michigan #1, a U.S. #9 and a comfortable 12 second gap over her closest competitor at the Spire Showcase.  Anne Forsyth from Ann Arbor, Michigan was the top performer in the 1600m with Maggie Farrell coming in a close 2nd place.  Forsyth's finishing time of 4:55.18 is a Michigan #2 and a U.S. #20 while Farrell clocked a 4:57.74 result.  Maggie Farrell has a previous performance from this season which ranks her 3rd in Michigan and 22nd in the U.S for the 1600m. Note that all of the state and national rankings that have been discussed in this article take into consideration both 1 mile to 1600m and 2 miles to 3200m conversions.    


           Maggie Farrell of Battle Creek Lakeview finished 1st in the 3200m and 2nd in the 1600m. 


           Ann Arbor's Anne Forsyth captured the 1600m win with a stellar finishing time of 4:55.18. 


           Michigan's Anne Forsyth and Maggie Farrell finished 1-2 in the tightly contested 1600m race.
