Zane Trace Invitational - Recap

           Timothy Trawick of Piketon High School won the High Jump with a mark of 6-6. 


The Zane Trace Invitational took place on Thursday, March 30th at the Zane Trace High School track in Chillicothe, Ohio and there were several notable early season performances demonstrated.  

Timothy Trawick of Piketon High School and Hillsboro's Jeremy Hayton engaged in an exciting back and forth competition in the High Jump event with Trawick collecting the win with his impressive 6-6 mark while Hayton finished close behind in 2nd place with his matching 6-6 result. Both of these athletes currently share the 2nd spot in the state High Jump rankings. 


           Timothy Trawick is currently ranked in a tie for #2 in Ohio in the High Jump. 


          Jeremy Hayton is also ranked in a tie for #2 in Ohio in the High Jump.   


Elsewhere in field event action, Austin Goolsby of Hillsboro High School won the Pole Vault competition as he produced an Ohio #2 vault of 15-0 and Noah Smith of Amanda-Clearcreek High School scored an emphatic win in the Discus event with his throw of 128-03. 


           Austin Goolsby of Hillsboro High School won the Pole Vault event with a mark of 15-0. 


           Noah Smith of Amanda-Clearcreek High School won the Discus event with a result of 128-03. 


On the track, Hillsboro High School teammates Jeremy Hayton and Austin Goolsby finished 1st and 2nd in the 100m race. Hayton took the win in 11.53 with Goolsby finishing in 2nd place with his 11.72 effort.  In the 800m event, Darby Pillow of Zane Trace High School earned the win as he finished 6 seconds ahead of the 2nd place finisher.  Pillow's 2:05.70 represents the 27th position in the Ohio rankings.

           Darby Pillow of Zane Trace High School won the 800m race in an Ohio #27 time of 2:05.70.  

On the girls side, Brooklyn Pritchard of Zane Trace High School claimed the 200m race win on her home track as she posted an Ohio #19 finishing time of 27.14. Brooklyn Pritchard also won the 400m race with her Ohio #8 effort of 1:00.92 while her teammate, Hailey Puckett secured 2nd place with her finishing time of 1:04.50.  In the Pole Vault event, Olivia Pflaumer of Zane Trace High School captured the victory with her Ohio tie for #25 vault of 9-06.  


           Brooklyn Pritchard won the 200m race at the Zane Trace Invitational in a time of 27.14. 


           Brooklyn Pritchard of Zane Trace High School finished 1st in the 400m race in 1:00.92.  


          Olivia Pflaumer of Zane Trace High School won the Pole Vault event with a mark of 9-06.
