Brooks PR Invitational - Ohio Recap

Natalie Price (right) finished 3rd in the 400m race at the Brooks PR Invitational

The three Ohio athletes who competed at the recent Brooks PR Invitational all represented themselves very well against the strongest competition that the country can provide.

Granville's Natalie Price finished 3rd in the 400m event with an excellent time of 53.66.  This highly competitive race saw the top three finishers separated by less than half of a second and four runners broke the 54 second barrier.

India Johnson of Hilliard Davidson High School finished 9th in the 2 Mile race with her result of 10:25.50.  Johnson is the reigning D1 Ohio state outdoor champion in the 3200m distance due to her 10:23.84 effort from earlier this month in Columbus.  Her 2 Mile result is a new Hilliard Davidson school record.

India Johnson posted an impressive time of 10:25.50 in the 2 Mile race.

Lakota East's Dustin Horter placed 8th in the 1 Mile race with his time of 4:07.82.  This race had an incredibly strong field of runners competing and finishers 1 through 8 were separated by only 5 seconds.  Horter, who is a veteran of many fast 1600m races, established a new P.R. for the 1 Mile distance and this result represents a Lakota East school record.
