Beachwood's Leah Roter is Furman University bound!

Beachwood High School's Leah Roter will compete for Furman University next year.

Congratulations to Beachwood's Leah Roter on finalizing her plans on where she will compete at the college level.  Roter has officially committed to Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and she will run both cross country and track for the Paladins.

Leah Roter has had an exceptional 2017 cross country campaign to this point, as she has recorded three race wins in as many starts.  Roter has secured her 1st place finishes at the OHSAA Early Season Invitational (17:50.50), the Kenston Frank Gibas Invitational (17:34.50) and the Boardman Spartan Invitational (17:36.80).  Her 17:34.50 effort at Kenston ranks her 3rd in Ohio and 24th in the country.

Coach Jamie Lader of Beachwood High School informed MileSplit Ohio of this news and he indicated how excited Leah is about this opportunity.

Again, congratulations Leah Roter and good luck at Furman University!

Expect Leah Roter to make an immediate impact with the Furman University program.
