Willoughby South Invitational - Meet Recap

           Bobby Casey's long jump result represents a US No. 17 for the 2018 outdoor season. 

Mayfield's Bobby Casey won the long jump event with his OH No. 1 jump of 23-11 and he also took the 110m hurdles win in a time of 15.31. 

           Bobby Casey collected a pair of wins at the Willoughby South Invitational. 

Mentor claimed a trio of wins in the boys team relay events.  The Cardinals won the 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m and 4 x 800m races with their times of 45.11, 1:32.30 and 8:17.34, respectively.

- 4 x 100m: Derek Kleinhenz, Jason Grove, John Pap & Nolan Vernon 

- 4 x 200m: Nolan Vernon, Jason Grove, Jack Lynch & Derek Kleinhenz       

- 4 x 800m: James Ferro, Tommy Oddo, Marshal Stewart & Nick Kozlowski

Mentor's John Pap recorded a time of 11.48 to take the 100m win and Kenston's Jakob McConnell won the 1600m race with his 4:28.76 effort.  The junior narrowly edged Mentor's Nick Kozlowski at the line for the win.  Kozlowski secured second place with his 4:28.79 result.

           Mentor's Nolan Vernon shown competing in the 100m finals.  

Nolan Vernon posted a time of 23.08 to win the 200m race and the Mentor sophomore finished second in the 100m event due to his 11.48 result.
