Tyler Klouda is a cross country and distance specialist from Garfield who is coming off a stellar junior year of competition. During the 2017 XC season, he notched five wins and demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout his racing schedule. Prior to the DII State Championship, where he placed eighteenth, Klouda secured top five finishes in nine of his ten starts.
The rising senior owns impressive pr's of: 15:57.60 (5K XC), 4:20.47 (1600) and 2:02.08 (800). Among his career highlights are a fourth place finish in the 1600m event at the 2017 DII OHSAA State Championship and a third place showing in the 1600 at the 2017 DII / DIII OATCCC Indoor State Championship.
As his training log will suggest, Klouda appears poised to be a great find for a college program that's seeking a consistent and committed distance runner.
