Led by Sheridan Tassy, Teays Valley secured the varsity division team win at Saturday's Pickerington Central Tiger Invitational. They scored 47 points to edge the runner-up squad from Gahanna Lincoln, who posted 54 points.
Tassy, who is a senior, placed first overall in the individual standings due to her 19:56.20 clocking. This was the first win of her high school career. Sophomore athletes Megan Bush and Karoline Pees finished tenth and eleventh with their times of 20:53.10 and 20:53.70, respectively. The team's scorers averaged a 20:53.66 finishing time.
