Gracie Sprankle earned her second win of the cross country campaign on Saturday at the Strongsville Invitational. The Olentangy Liberty senior posted a season's best time of 18:29.90 to top a deep field that included twelve athletes who broke 20 minutes and a hand-full of others who were just over.
Sprankle, who took first place two weeks ago at the McGowan Invitational, has finished in the top 3 in each of her four starts this season. Her latest performance represents an Ohio No. 27.
Sprankle's impressive resume includes three appearances at both the DI OHSAA State Championship meet and the Nike Cross Nationals Midwest Regional. She owns a pr of 17:35.20, which she achieved during her junior year.
