CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets earned five first-place votes and are tied for #2 in the nation in the first regular season NAIA women's cross country poll.
Cedarville totaled 613 points to match Biola (Calif.) for the #2 spot. The Eagles picked up four first-place votes.
Top-ranked Cal State-San Marcos was given 14-of 23 first-place votes. The Cougars racked up 643 points for their first-ever #1 ranking.
Rounding out the top five are pre-season #1 Simon Fraser (B.C.) and defending national champion Azusa Pacific (Calif.).
American Mideast Conference member Malone is #6. Shawnee State moved into the Top 25 at #23.
