If you are a JJHuddle refuge, Welcome to OHRunners and MileSplit, where we are glad to give you a forum to express your views and opinions on Track & Field and Cross Country for free.

In order to post, you must have an account with OHRunners or MileSplit and you must be logged in to post.  To register and create an account, go to the gray bar at the top of the page (just below the first ad) and on the right hand side you will see a place that says "Register or Login."  Click on Register and then follow the prompts to create an account.  Just make sure that the username you are registering does not have any spaces in it or you will send the registration proccess in to an endless loop.

If you already have a username, click on "Login" on the right hand side of the gray bar.  Fill in your username and your password.  If the gray bar says "Hello, your name" you will be able to post.

There are two ways to get to the Ohio Forum, on the right hand side of the front page scroll down until you just past the horizontal "Photos and Video" scroller and the "Follow Me on Twitter" graphic and you will see the words "Forum Posts" followed by the ten or so most recent threads.  Just click on "Forum Posts" to see all of the different threads available, or to make your own.

The other way to get the Ohio Forum is to hover your mouse over "Community" in the red navigation bar until it drops down, and then click on "Ohio Forum" and you will see all of the different threads avaiable and the option to create a new topic.

Glad to see you all here on OHRunners/MileSplit and I look forward to reading your insightful banter.

Just remember a forum is only as good as you, the participants make it, there is no reason that we can't have as good as discusions here as there was on the Huddle.

I'm here! Haven't really used the forums here yet, but will be now. I have no secret identities. My user ID is the same on all of the forums I visit for running. Thanks for the platform!

I've gone from 1300 posts to 1...haha, glad to see everyone making the switch.

Welcome to all from the huddle. This can be just as good.
  • masterstatman / 5 Years Ago
I got run off of jjhuddle at 12:01 a.m. with the message, sorry we are temporarily closed for site maintenance. I also noticed the poll I started asking where people were going was deleted. Oh well, here we are on a site where we can find all the results also, makes it more convenient, doesn't it?

Made the switch from Huddle. Hello everyone.

Looks like huddle is pretty quiet. No posts since 11:46 last night.

The last post on the huddle was at 11:46 last night. The info says you can pay by mail or with paypal. I'm willing to bet that when you pay the $1.00 for the first month, they will deduct the $1.00 for every month thereafter automaticallly. No, I have not paid, just checking out the system for paying.

No they just charge you the $12 up front. I haven't done it yet but went to the PayPal screen. I'll have to do it since I'll be timing Kent's meets this year and will need to post meet info.
  • Finishtiming / 5 Years Ago
No one will be there to read it though from the looks of it.
There are not many of the forums at all on huddle with any activity.

That's kind of what I was afraid of... Oh well, I don't need to do anything with it this weekend anyways. Time to fly south for two meets and be warmer... Good luck this weekend!

I don't get it. Isn't jjhuddle a high school forum? Why do you see the need to post info about a college meet there? Wouldn't it be sufficient to post it on mile split and yappi? What if no one is on jjhuddle? With yappi and mile split you can read posts without registering but you can't on jjhuddle. You have to register to even read posts.
  • masterstatman / 5 Years Ago
I see what you mean by having to pay the $12.00 up front. jjhuddle made a big deal about paying only $1.00 per month. To me it was kind of deceiving. I thought you could pay month by month, but he wants the entire fee for one year up front.

Delta Timing will be doing the high school meets held at Kent this year. Does not look like anyone is reading the track section of the Huddle so you can probably save yourself $12 Delta Timing and not bother posting any info there.
  • jjhuddle / 5 Years Ago
Glad to see you made the jump Mr. Arabian.
  • CoachWhitman / 5 Years Ago
Yes-Delta Timing is doing the Kent meets. So please email your questions about the meets to him rather than me.

You can also go to www.kentstatesports.com to the track page and find the HS Meets Info link for more info.

I'm sure the meets will continue to improve. Any tech improvements that were made over the past four years were all attributable to the help I/we received from Delta Timing's stable of studs led by the legendary John Ferguson. Many thanks to Jim Findlay and Mike at FinishTiming for help with meet management and statistical issues as well.

See you all at an indoor meet soon.

First, on to Terre Haute and hopefully Portland.

ps. Hey blkshirt, only 4 more weeks til GFG!!
  • bud_bundy / 5 Years Ago
The artist formerly known as Uncle Louie is here. I decided to go down swinging on JJ and got myself banned for life by mentioning another HS website by name. The boys at JJ consider that "spamming."
  • Jimmyaungst / 5 Years Ago
    Delta,

When you get some time, I'll show you how you can get access to the MileSplit page for the Kent State meets that you are timing. That way you can post any and all information there, and KW and I won't be getting questions about them
