WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The Marietta College women's track and field team's success in the Triple Jump propelled it to a fourth place finish at Saturday (Feb. 13) afternoon's Division III All-Ohio Championship, hosted by Otterbein College. [

Ohio Wesleyan University swept the 19-school event after compiling 81.50 points in the women's competition and 114 points in the men's standings. The Pioneer women compiled 51.5 points to place fourth, while the Pioneer men collected 14 points and placed 14th.
Sophomore jumps specialist
Ashley Bault (Atwater, Waterloo), the reigning Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Field Athlete of the Week, was Marietta's lone individual champion and combined for 19.5 points over her three events. Bault captured the Triple Jump title with a leap of 10.93m (35-10.50). She also placed runner-up in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.25m (17-02.75) and capped her day with a seventh place finish in the High Jump after clearing a season's best 1.54m (5-00.50).

Kristeva Rowe (Toledo, Sylvania Southview) took third with a season's best jump of 10.59m (34-09.00) and senior
Sarita Dhiraprasiddhi (Hilliard, Darby) finished fifth with a season's best jump of 10.33m (33-10.75). Both Rowe and Dhiraprasiddhi met the A Qualifying Standard for the
2010 OAC Indoor Championship, which will take place at Marietta Feb. 26-27.
Sophomore
Kim Keesler (Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Falls) earned seven points for her team with a second place finish in the Pole Vault. Marietta's lone NCAA Provisional Qualifier to date cleared 3.35m (10-11.75) on Saturday.
Sophomore
Lauren Asbury (White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., Greenbrier East) scored a fifth place finish in the 55m Dash and met the OAC's A Qualifying Standard by running a time of 7.57 seconds. Her personal record performance earned the Pioneers four points in the event.
Senior
Christi Tims (Olmsted Township, Olmsted Falls) ran a personal record in the 400m Dash and placed sixth with a time of 1:01.16, while sophomore
Corryn Muench (Cold Spring, Ky., Newport Central Catholic) placed seventh with a time of 1:01.56.
The Women's 4x200m Relay earned five points for Marietta after running a season's best time of 1:49.09 and placing fourth.
Freshman
Caleb Muller (Columbus, Bexley) had the performance of the meet for the men's team. The distance specialist shattered the school record in the 5,000m Run by running a time of 15:26.93 and taking third. Muller, who met the A Qualifying Standard for the OAC Indoor Championship, shaved over 30 seconds off his previous season's best and over 26 seconds off the previous school record.
Senior
Derek Carpenter (Belpre, Belpre) also met the OAC's A Standard in his best event, the Shot Put. Carpenter took 10th in the event with a season's best mark of 14.05m (46-01.25).
Junior
Matt Hickman (St. Mary's, W.Va., St. Mary's) ran the top qualifying time in the 55m Dash preliminaries and went on to take third place in the finals after crossing the line in 6.58 seconds.
The Men's Distance Medley Relay earned the final two points for the Pioneer men by taking seventh. They crossed the line in a season's best time of 10:45.61.
Marietta returns to the track on Saturday (Feb. 20) when the Pioneers compete at the Mount Union Invitational. It will be the final tune-up for the
OAC Indoor Championship.
