BGSU Defends Its Toledo Collegiate Challenge This Weekend

Falcons Begin Outdoor Track And Field Season This Weekend

Wed, Mar, 24 | Women's Track and Field

Following a month's hiatus after the MAC Championships and the end of the indoor season, the Bowling Green State University track and field team opens the 2010 outdoor season on Saturday, March 27 at the Toledo Collegiate Challenge.

Last year, the Falcons won the Toledo Collegiate Challenge by gathering eight first-place finishes.  In that meet, two BGSU athletes set meet records, and one had a qualifying throw for the NCAA Regional meet.

This year, the Orange and Brown will try to match that achievement against three other schools.  Also competing in the meet are Toledo, Ohio University and Oakland.

As noted, the meet will take place on Saturday, March 27th.  There will be a total of 20 events.  The eight field events will begin at noon, while the 12 track events will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Admission to the event is $5 for all persons 12 years and older.  Children under 12 are admitted for $3, while infants in strollers are admitted free of charge.  Parking is available in the lots surrounding the University of Toledo's track and field facility.

Below is the complete event schedule with slated Falcon participants included.  A complete recap and final results will be posted after the conclusion of the meet.
