Falcons Compete At All-Ohio Championships

RESULTS

The Bowling Green State University men's cross country team sent several of it's members to Athens, Ohio this weekend to participate in the two-day All-Ohio Championships.  The All-Ohio meet consists of squads from across the state of Ohio and includes 21 different events. 

On Friday, April 16th, the first day of the meet, three Falcons saw action.

In the 5,000 meter run, Tipp City freshman Jason Salyer recorded a time of 15:44.5 to finish in 19th place.  Deshler junior Jesse Smuda completed the run three places behind Salyer with a time of 16:08.8.

Sophomore Ben Leininger, a Beavercreek native, ran in the 10,000 meters.  He ran the course in 35:41.20 to earn 19th place.

Several more Falcons will compete in today's events.  Sophomore Pete Miles will run in the 800 and 1500 meter runs.  Junior Chris Moody will also run the 800 meters, while juniors Jeff Ehler and Abraham Busienei will complete in the 1500 meters.  Erik Kuehner is slated to compete in the 400 meter hurdles.

The Bowling Green men's cross country team is permitted to participate in up to five different track and field competitions during the 2010 track season.
