Track and Field Announces Additions

Bowling Green State University track and field head coach Cami Wells has announced the addition of seven student athletes for the 2010-11 season. Darlene Anderson, Ariel Edwards, Christina Gagliardo, Allorian Horne, Brooke Pleger, Anna Pomento and Sheral Robinson will join the Falcons next season.

Darlene Anderson, Jumps/Hurdles, Toledo, Ohio (Whitmer) High School
High School: Is a 2010 graduate of Whitmer High School … has personal best of 9.00 for 55 meter hurdles, 9.76 for 60 meter hurdles, 15.16 for 100 meter hurdles, 46.86 for 300 meter hurdles, 5-0 in the high jump, 17-5.5 in the long jump and 28-10 in the shot put … 2010 Division I Ohio State Meet qualifier in the 100 meter hurdles ... 2010 Regional Meet placed third in the 100 meter hurdles ... 2010 District Meet Champion in the long jump, second in the 300 meter hurdles and third in the 100 meter hurdles, Toledo City League Champion in the long jump and runner up in the 100 meter hurdles, and 300 meter hurdles … coached by Bowling Green alum, Jeremy Elliot. Christina Gagliardo, Pole Vault, Canal Winchester, Ohio (Pickerington Central) High School

Brooke Pleger, Throws, Saline, Michigan (Saline) High School
High School: Is a 2010 graduate from Saline High School … has thrown personal bests of 145-5 in the hammer, 49-6 in the weight throw, 120-8 in the discus and 35-6 in the shot put … currently ranked 11th in the nation among high school girls hammer throwers with her throw of 145-5 ... 2010 National Scholastic Indoor Championships finishing 10th in the weight throw … Coached by Jack Crabtree and Mike Smith Personal: Born June 21, 1992 … daughter of Kyle and Denise … has one brother, Zack … plans to major in early childhood development.

Anna Pomento, Throws, The Plains, Ohio (Athens) High School

Sheral Robinson, Hurdles, Lorain, Ohio (Admiral King) High School
