TOLEDO, OH - The University of Toledo women's track and field team was recognized Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association for their success in the classroom, earning the distinction of being named an All-Academic Team for the 2010 season.
A total of 151 women's Division I track and field programs were
honored by the USTFCCCA for earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or
better, including eight Mid-American Conference schools, which tied for
second-most among Division I conferences. The Rockets earned a
cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20, which ranked sixth among MAC
teams. Oklahoma compiled the best
GPA among Division I schools with a 3.62 while the Big East led all
conferences with 12 teams recognized. The Big Ten, Big 12, and Atlantic-10 each
had eight squads on the list along with the MAC.
