Ashley Aberl led a JCU charge of five finishers in the top 70 at the National Catholic Championships
Showing their depth, the John Carroll women's cross country team used five finishers among the top 70 runners to place eighth in the college division of the 2010 National Catholic Championships staged Friday afternoon at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

Bellarmine (76) aedged Lewis (84) for the team title, while John Carroll (241) finished just two sports behind the top Division III team, Loras (171).
In the all divisions standings, which included the host school as well as Dayton and Marquette, John Carroll was 18th of 35 teams.
Sophomore
Ashley Aberl was the top placer for John Carroll. her time of 19:25 was 16th best amongst college division competitors, and 68th in the all divisions field.
Senior
Kelly Grieve and junior
Megan Lutz were the next two across for JCU. Grieve was clocked at 20:09 and Lutz at 20:14 to finish 43rd and 46th, respectively. In the all divisions standings, Grieve was 105th and Lutz 111th.
Taylor Whisler continued her improvement each week by placing 67th in the college division with a time of 20:48, while fellow freshman
Anna Busta was 69th in 20:52.
