Gab Kreuz and the Blue Streaks earned a seventh place finish at the 2010 Wilmington Fall Classic
Last year, a senior-laden John Carroll squad with an upstart freshman stunned the field and captured the team title at the Wilmington College Fall Classic.
On Friday at the 2010 edition of the Wilmington Classic, a much younger JCU squad battled to a seventh place showing.
Results
The top five runners for the Blue Streaks featured one senior, one junior, one sophomore and two freshmen. This quintet led JCU to a score of 229 points and a seventh place finish out of 31 teams. Among Division III teams, the Streaks has the fourth best total, and were third among Ohio Athletic Conference schools.
Division II Findlay (103) edged fellow Division II school Tiffin (108) for the team title, with Otterbein of the OAC and Division III a close third (119).
Sophomore
Ashley Aberl was seventh overall and second amongst Division III runners with a time of 18:55.75.
Freshman
Anna Busta was next across in 29th place with a mark of 19:36.60, while senior
Kelly Grieve was 47th in 20:07.45.
Another freshman, Gab Kreuz, placed 69th with a time of 20:43.07, while
Andrea Brown rounding out the top five by clocking in at 20:49.94.
