Wayne grad aims high at Olympic Trials

Realistically, Alexis Thomas knows her best chance of making the United States Olympic Track and Field team is for the 2016 Games in Rio De Janerio, Brazil, and beyond. “But I never dreamed all this would’ve happened to me in the last month,” she said. “So I can dream of making the team this year and going to London. Stranger things have happened.”
Thomas, a junior at Ohio State from Wayne High School, will get a chance to fulfill that dream today as the U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials begin in a nine-day run in Oregon.
