Jake was a member of the 2008 4x800 relay team that finished 4th at the state meet. He was competed in the state meet in Cross Country in 2006 and 2008.

Jake received a T&F scholarship to Goshen College in Indiana to continue his career as a race walker on his college track team. He has qualified for and participated in the collegiate nationals in both the race walk and the marathon.
