This year had to be one of the more amazing meets I've had the privilege to attend.

I don't recall that many meet and state records all in one year in quite a while.

    In no particular order:

State and meet records in D1 300 hurdles by Donovan Robertson of Berea 35.96
State and meet records in D1 3200 by Tsehaye Hiluf of Reynoldsburg 8:55.04
State and meet records in D1 Pole Vault Jacob Blankenship of Gahanna Lincoln 17-2
    State and meet records in D1 4 x 1 Reynoldsburg 45.99
Owens Stadium Record in D1 300 hurdles by Faith Washington of Reynoldsburg 41.33
    Meet record in D2 4 x 200 by Thurgood Marshall 1:26.98
    Meet record by Dayton Dunbar in D2 4 x 400 3:15.92
    Meet record by Eastmoor Academy in D2 4 x 200 1:39.37
Meet record by Emily Stipes of Cincinnati Wyoming in 3200 10:43.32
State (all classes) and meet records in D2 Pole Vault by Alyssa McBride of Bryan 13-1
Meet record in D3 1600 by Cory Glines of St. Thomas Aquinas 4:12.93
*2nd place was also under old meet record: Wyatt Hartman of Maplewood 4:13.35

I liked this one from Chris Lillstrung and Theresa Neuhoff Audia in today's News-Herald.

    "Quite a sight"

"Meghan Vogel of West Liberty started her day by winning the Division III 1,600 championship. She ended it by finishing last in the 3,200, but her finish was memorable.

In the final meters of the race, the competitor in front of her fell to the track. Instead of running past Arden McMath, Vogel helped her get back on her feet. The two crossed the finish line and in the end, Vogel let McMath finish before her.

The crowd at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium cheered wildly when the two crossed the finish line."
