HUBER HEIGHTS — Thurgood Marshall’s Alante Oliver, one of the state’s top Division II sprinters, added more credentials to his resume Friday night. He was a double winner in the 100 and 200 meters and a member of the first-place 800- and 1,600-meter relay teams at the Wayne Invitational. (via DaytonDailyNews.com )

Mack Tudor - 206-4 Discus Throw - New OHSAA All Division Record Apr 27, 2012

Mack Tudor (Pictured on right) set the OHSAA All-Division record in the discus with a throw of 206-4 Thursday night at the Wayne Invitational.  Mack's throw bests Charles Moye Jr.'s (Akron Ellet) throw of 204-5 from 1987. Mack's series for the night was 182-4, 196-1, F, F, 200-4, 206-4.

2012 Wayne Invitational Preview - Boys The 2012 Wayne Invitational will be a true balance of sprints, hurdles, distance and field events.  There will be a cast of new individual champions since only two athletes return to defend their title, Jacob Dumford of Westerville North in the 800m and Michael Shiverdecker of Wayne in the Pole Vault.

2012 Wayne Invitational Preview - Girls The Mason Girls DOMINATED the field last year and that doesn't seem to change this year.  A big challenge will come from Lebanon and host Wayne, as the two GWOC schools seem to be having a stellar year, too. But don't count out Reynoldsburg and Gahanna Lincoln, they have enough sprint points to relay make a run at a team title.  Let's take a look at the girls.

With 41 schools and 17 conferences represented, the Wayne Invitational will have interest piqued across the state.  The meet has grown to one of the premeir events to showcase talented teams and individuals in Southwestern Ohio as well as across the state.  This meet will be a true balance of sprints, hurdles, distance and field events.  The team championship is truly up for grabs, for both boys and girls.
