Brooks PR Invitational Buckeye Connections - Antwon Smith

The Buckeye State will be represented in Seattle at the end of the month when Antwon Smith of John F. Kennedy-Cleveland heads out to the prestigious Brooks PR Invitational.   Select elite athletes were sent a golden ticket and invited to the event to compete against the nations top performers. Theodore will compete in the 400m Dash along with six of the nations top quarter-milers.

Antwon is the 2012 Ohio Division 1 champion in the 400m dash.  His time of 47.44 from the state meet was the third fastest time in the state last year, and the top returning time in the state this year.  Antwon has already 48.80 at the Spire HS Showcase meet, which is currently the ninth best time in the nation.  Antwon also holds the top mark in the current indoor season in the Long Jump with a leap of 23-2.5.  This mark is good enough for the twelfth best jump in the nation this season.
