-Tell us how your summer training is going?:

Summer training has been going really well! I've really been putting my miles in I'm ready to start doing some more speed workouts.

-What are your goals for the upcoming season?:

Number one goal is to help get my team to state. I'd also really like to stay in the 18s and possibly break the18 minute barrier.

-How long have you been running and how did you get started?:

I've been running since I was five. I ran a little kids road race and really haven't stopped ever since. My mom coached a Junior High girls cross country team and was a good runner herself, that really got me interested in the sport! I knew I always wanted to follow her footsteps and join a team like that.

-Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?:

Yes! Our varsity girls team will be heading down to the Chattanooga Distance Festival this season! I also plan on running a post season race out of state but I have yet to decide on which one.

-What is your favorite course to run in Ohio?:

My favorite course would have to be the state course at National Trail Raceway. It was fast and fun we got to do a little bit of everything, grass loop, woods, a little hill and then the finish was just incredible with everyone cheering so loud!

-What is the toughest course to run in Ohio?:

I think one of the toughest ones for me last year was the regional meet at Troy. It was difficult because I didn't really know how to run my race. I couldn't devise a good plan or strategy for the course.

-What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?:

I put extra emphasis on the Alliance Meet because it's a great fast course filled with good competition

-What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?:

My favorite race was probably state 2012. I think that was my favorite because the whole race I felt powerful. I did what I wanted to do, I had a big pr and I had a lot of family and team members there cheering me on which was just awesome!

-Favorite cross country memory?:

One of my favorite memories was when I broke 20 for the first time by a lot and I just ran(more like barely moving jog) up to my mom after the finish and we were both crying tears of joy and she gave me a huge hug.

-When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?:

I really like to bake and hang out with my teammates we are like a family

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3:5-6
