Virginia's best hurdler Chantel Ray creatively commits to Ohio State University

One of the state's fastest hurdlers all-time in the 55 meter hurdles indoors and 100 meter hurdlers outdoors in Hampton senior Chantel Ray has gotten her college decision out of the way before her first track meet this indoor season. In a creative way to announce her decision via video on instagram, the two-time Group AAA state champion in the 100 meter hurdles (13.69 state meet record) and nation's fastest returnee in the 55 meter hurdles (7.88) Ray has made it publicly known that she will be attending Ohio State University next fall. An All-American numerous times both indoors and outdoors as well as growing up in age group summer track, Ray had been considering several major Division 1 schools including Florida, LSU, Kentucky, and Texas before deciding to become a Big Ten collegiate athlete as a Buckeye.
