For the first time in Ohio High School history, we will have a live online video stream of the indoor state championships, held March 8 at Akron University.
Ryan Fenton; former head at Flotrack and now Director of Premium Content for Milesplit; said he is excited to bring this opportunity to Ohio. Fenton said, "We are excited to bring the expertise Flocasts has gained in streaming track and field to Milesplit. We will really be pushing to elevate the production of high school track and field this year and along with Ohio we'll be bringing broadcasts to other state meets over the next few weeks, including Michigan on February 22nd, Pennsylvania on March 1st and a Meet of Champions in Virginia also on March 8th."
"This firmly places Milesplit at the forefront of high quality live coverage in high school track," he continued. "And what makes this unique is that we are able to draw on the knowledge of our MileSplit state webmasters to make these webcasts extremely relevant."
The OATCCC Indoor State Championships have produced some of the best indoor results in the history of the state and this year may be the best yet. Currently the state boasts the top 2 and 7 of the top 22 times in the country in the boys 60H. We also boast the top WT results for the girls and the national freshman record holder in the same event for the boys. All of this is a testament to the fantastic coaching and outstanding competitors that represent our state.
Our Webcast will feature yours truly as play-by-play commentator, as well as plenty of photos, videos, interviews and additional race footage from multiple cameras, as well as a live Twitter feed with out new twitter account @MilesplitOhio. Be sure to follow to check out all the action.
Our live video stream will be available to all Milesplit Insider members of the site as we strive to bring more premium content to the website. The stream will be available at http://oh.milesplit.com/articles/121932-live-webcast-oatccc-indoor-state-championship-on-milesplit. If you don't have a Milesplit Insider membership you will be able to sign up on that page. Coverage will start at 9:30 am for the Div 1 meet and 3:30 for the Div 2/3 meet.
