Boys Race
Individual Qualifiers:
Greg Roeth, Miamisburg; Richard Patterson, Lebanon; Dan Sheehan, Troy; Cody Owen, Piqua; Aaron Dinzeo, Sidney; Tobias Deardorff, Trenton Edgewood; Dan Bell, Harrison; Nick Swinford, Kings; Ben Foley, Cin. Sycamore; Holden Marsh, Moeller; Nathaniel Finney and Graham Campbell, Anderson; Aaron Gehring and Jordan Parayil, Lakota West.
Prediction:
Look for St. Xavier, Turpin and Centerville to battle for the top spot. Mason challenged Turpin for the District title in a close race, but with Mason's youth there is lack of post-season experienced runners could hurt them. Milford has a good group of veteran runners, but they need for their 4 and 5 runners to have a great race. Elder is loaded with experience, with 5 of their 7 runners being seniors. Look for Elder to have a good race and qualify for the state meet by finishing fourth.
Girls Race
Individual Qualifers:
Maria Bradford, Lakota East; Kayla Justice, McAuley; Lacee Kurtz and Rebekkah Randall, Milford; Janelle Avery, Huber Heights Wayne; Alison Steinbrunner and Jasmine Redman, Tecumseh; Hannah Charbel and Amanda Miller, Vandalia Butler; Bianca Walker, Fairborn; Megan Niehaus, Lebanon.
Prediction:
Colerain and Springboro will battle for the regional title, with Colerain coming out on top. The next two spots could really go any way. Turpin, Oak Hills, Centerville or Beavercreek all have legit shots at finishing in the top four and advancing to state. I look for Oak Hills and Centerville to have a good showing and make it out of the region.

Boys Race
Individual Qualifiers:
Dustin Hines, Springfield Shawnee; Zach Hawke, Graham Local; Mica Hatcher, Bellefontaine; Gareth Graver, Greenon; Myles Corcoran, Clinton-Massie; Brandon White and Josh Newport, Chaminade-Julienne; Chris Severance, Alter; Chris Porst, Tim Kuck and Brian Austin, Mariemont; Matt Blauvelt, Taylor; Brad Besserman, Finneytown; Bryce Mosher and Luke Ebersole, Sparta-Highland; Christian Moffatt, Whitehall-Yearling.
Prediction:
With nine teams ranked in the state, and also the tenth ranked team in the OCC DII Poll, Springfield Shawnee did not make it out of districts, the DII Troy regional meet will be a tough race. Carroll and Tippecanoe should fight it out for the top spot. I like Tipp to upset the number 2 ranked DII team and take home the Regional title. Carroll in the two spot. Springfield Northwestern should fall in as the third team and Badin will likely end up in the four spot, being led by the Gloyeske brothers.
Girls Race
Individual Qualifers:
Jordan Stafford and Danielle Workman, Greenon; Rachel Watt and Aubrey Gardner, Indian Lake; Jessica Townsedn, Kenton Ridge; Kristie Kiracofe and Katie Burkett, Eaton; Emily Myers, Valley View; Kelly Sullivan and Tara Joseph, Taylor; Erin Pierce and April Banish, St. Bernard; Tarah Cole, Bethel-Tate; Michell Geiger, Norwood; Rebekah Reese, Centennial; Jordan Keysor, Buckeye Valley; Bailey Schnurr and Lincoln Green, Big Walnut.
Prediction:
Alter and Springfield Nortwestern are the two real contendes out of this region. Look for Alter to push the pace and bring home the Regional title. Springfield Northwestern should finish runner-up, avenging their district loss to Milton Union, who will likely be the number 3 team to make it out of the region. Tippecanoe should edge out Wyoming, Brookville, and Oakwood for the fourth and final spot.

Individual Qualifiers:
Patrick Carroll, Purcell Marion; Andrew Wallace, Cin. Hills Chrisian, Adam Bird and Vincent Schlagbaum, Madiera; Grady Cobb, Mid. Christian; Jordan Engle, Miami Valley Christian Academy; Eli Pyles, Cedarville; Kirby Keltner and Ryan Caldwell, East Clinton; John Luttrell and Walter Lutrell, Dayton Christian; Jared Moore and Jeremiah Johnson, Dixie; Steven Taulbee, Twin Valley South; Derrick Lillard, Anna; Tyler Roeth, Houston; Chad McCarty and Jeremy Danner, Bethel; Andy Stephan, Troy Christian; Jack DeFord, Miami East; Dusty Kuess and Alex Gray, Coldwater; Jonathan Rex, Spencerville; Seth Wisener, Lincolnview; Matt Bittner, Crestview-Convoy.
Prediction:
Minster and Russia have another good matchup in this race. Russia has been impressive the only time that I have seen them run, but the regional title probably will go to Minster. The final two spots will be a fight, with New Bremen, St. Henry, Yellow Sprins, and Lehman Catholic all looking to advance. Yellow Springs knows what it takes to get to state, so look for them to step it up and be ready to run. The final spot will likely come down between New Bremen and St. Henry, look for St. Henry to edge out New Bremen for the final spot.
Girls Race
Individual Qualifers:
Erin Calvelage, St. John's (Delphos); Tina Roessner and Mindy Vogel, Fort Recovery; Emilia Gallagher, Cin. Summit Country Day; Sarah Rabourn, Cin. Seven Hills; Lindsey Mead, Cin. Christian; Katie Bunker, Cedarville; Bobbi Wilson, Waynesville; Marie Egbert, Southeastern Local; Jessica Brant, Troy Christian; Beth Zimpfer, Jackson Center; Ashley Diltz, Covington; Emily Poeppelman, Anna; Bobbi Custer, Tri-County North; Emma McCarron and Autumn Harmon, Crestview-Ashland; Ariel Collins, Plymouth; Stephanie Geiger, Colonel Crawford.
Prediction:
This is a stacked region, with 4 of the top 5 teams ranked in the OCC Poll, and two teams ranked on the MileSplit Top 25 Team Rankings. A team from the Troy region in the Girls DIII race will probably win the state title. Look for Seneca East and Minster to both compete for the Regional title. Look for this to be a race of 4, 5 and 6 runners to make a huge difference. The other two teams with a good shot of making the state meet are Versailles and Fort Loramie.
