On February 13th, Milesplit is hosting it's Scholastic Showcase at Spire. The meet is evloving into one of the best high school meets in the Midwest as MileSplit, along with FlowSports is now sponsoring the meet and Web Casting the meet live Nationally. The meet is a showcase of many of Ohio's elite athletes, as well as athletes from several other States and Canada.
Jr. Sammy Watson on Rush Henrietta Sperry, NY has committed and will run in the 800m. She is the current NBNI and Outdoor 800m champion and has an outdoor PR of 2:03.54. She ran a 54.66 last weekend in the 400 at the Spire Showcase.
Following is a list, per event, of the Ohio GIRL'S athletes that have currently met the indoor standards for the meet and who are invited to participate. 2015 returners who have met the standard are listed if no athletes, or only a few, have met the standard in the early part of this 2016 indoor season. The list is not exclusive. Please note that this meet is not only for the Ohio Athletes invited. We have athletes from MI, PA, NY, FL, CA and Canada that have entered. If you are an athlete or have an athlete that would be competitive at this level, please register. If you would like to participate in this meet, we would encourage you to register as soon as possible. There will be no on-site registrations.
1. First Priority: Returning Showcase Champions and State Champions.
2. 2nd: Current and Returning Milesplit national Elite Gold Standard Performers
3. 3rd: Athletes in the Top 10-12 on Ohio/Milesplit (or other States) Indoor Performance List.
4. 4th: Athletes who have attained the following: GIRLS 60m ((8.0), 60mH (9.5), 200 (26.5), 400 (60.), 800 (2:22) 1600 (5:15), 3200 (11:30), HJ (5'2), LJ (15'6), PV (10'6), Shot (35'0), Weight (38'0).
