Sr. Luke Wagner of St. Ignatius started off the outdoor campaign this weekend running a 4:19.61 1,600. Wagner was 6th last year in the OHSAA D1 race with a 4:15.42 and has a PR of 4:13.64. Wagners teammate, Jr. C.J. Ambosio ran a State leading 9:36.76. There were some other early season fast times with the cooperative winter and spring weather. Sr. Desmond Melson of Watkins Memorial ran a 49.90, Sr. Billy Woltz of Logan ran a 1:57.94 and Sr. Ben Peterson of Solon is over 60 in the Shot Put with a 60-5 to name just a few of the good performances. Watch for the times to continue to plummet over the next few weeks as we start to get into the meat of the season

Fr. Olivia Howell, shown above in the OATCCC Indoor D 1,600, was 3rd in the D1 1,600 Indoors with a 5:06.89. Expect her to go under 5 in the next few weeks.
The girls also had a very good start to the outdoor season. Fr. Olivia Howell of Solon, 3rd Indoors with a 5:06.89, showed that she is ready for the outdoor season with a week one, State leading 5:12.68 1,600. Russia Sr. Lauren Heaton ran a fine 58.43 400 to start her season off.
