Despite the Weather, Seven new Ohio #1's Last Week!


Watkins Memorial Sr. Desmond Melson ran a State leading 49.17 400m on Friday.  He can go faster.  He was 6th last year in the D1 race with a 48.86 and 2nd Indoors this year in the D1 race with a 49.72.  

Not a lot to report from the past weekend of T&F in Ohio.  Old Man Winter had his grip on Ohio and many meets were cancelled.  The Stingle Invitational was moved from Saturday to Friday and cancelled after the girls 300mH. Before they cancelled however, four new Ohio #1's were run on the boys side.  In the 4x800, Hilliard Davidson ran an 8:13.72, Pickerington Central ran a 1:28.52 4x200, Andrew Jordan of Watkins Memorial ran a 4:16.21 1,600 and his teammate Desmond Melson ran a 49.17 400m.  

Earlier in the week, Lancaster Sr.  Nik Curtiss threw a State leading 62-10.5 in the Shot Put at a Logan Tri meet.

On the girl's side, Jonathan Alder Sr. Aziza Ayoub ran a #1 400 with a time of 58.17 in a quad meet on Tuesday and So. Kylie Cutlip of Buckeye Trail ran a 44.55 in the 300mH at the St. Clairsville Porterfield Inv. on Friday.
