7a Cincinnati St. Ursula Academy 9:22.85
7b Springboro 9:23.83
8a Perrysburg 9:30.31
8b Wadsworth 9:19.34

Prediction

7 of the top 9 times in the state were set at the Youngstown Regional meet, it's hard to argue that Youngstown was the toughest region to advance from. Beaumont is over three seconds faster than any other team in the state and has the top two 800m runners in Division I on the team, Beaumont is a lock to take the gold. The next three teams will likely be from the Youngstown region with Solon, GlenOak and Wadsworth. Look for a little shake up from the region to the state, with GlenOak moving up to second and Solon taking the Bronze.

WILDCARD: Springboro, led by freshman phenom Carly Hamilton, if Springboro is in the race when Hamilton gets the baton things could get interesting.

Prediction
Heat 1

Campbell, Lloyd, Perrill and Calhoun advance

Heat 2

Snyder, Smith, Cheese, Bonny.

Finals

Campbell is a tenth faster than the rest of the state, although that is windaided, but look for a shootout between Campbell, Smith and Snyder, with Smith coming out on top, followed by Campbell and then Snyder. Look for Lloyd to get in the race and finish fourth.

WILDCARD: If Bonny makes the finals look for her to be in the mix to finish anywhere from 3-6.

Prediction
Heat 1

Payne, Portis, Graham and Grant get to run again on Saturday.

Heat 2

Schmidt, Jones, Hullum and McKinney make the finals

Finals

This will be a tightly contested race, with the winner likely being whoever gets out of the blocks first. Looke for Payne to battle Jones all the way with Jones taking the crown. Hullum will likely be ready to run and will take home the bronze, followed by McKinney in fourth.

WILDCARD: Graham, she is just a stud when it comes to the sprints.

4x200m Relay

  1 Pickerington Central 1:43.69

  5 Reynoldsburg 1:40.28

  8 Cleveland Collinwood 1:41.61

Prediction

Walnut Hills and Withrow have been battling throughout the post season, look for Walnut Hills to continue their winning streak and take home the gold, followed by Withrow taking home the bronze. Twinsburg and Reynoldsburg should round out the top four, with Reynoldsburg taking the silver since they will be running for team points.

WILDCARD: Bowsher, they have fast girls and great coaches.

1600m

1a 627 Caitlin Hartnett, Solon 10 5:04.11

6b 601 Megan Wright, Mt. Orab Western Brown 11 5:08.93
7a 418 Madeline Chambers, Rocky River Magnificat 10 5:02.66
7b 620 Tori Brink, Hilliard Davidson 11 5:04.07
8a 821 Brooklyne Ridder, Cincinnati Oak Hills 11 4:59.83
8b 104 Ashley Waddington, Sandusky 11 5:08.71

Prediction

Durkin versus Infeld, this may be the best race of the whole state meet. Too only thing that could make this better is if Penn Relay's Mile Champion Stephanie Morgan could run in this race. Durkin or Infeld could take the title, but look for Infeld to be the champion here with Durkin finishing a close second. Both could set big PR's. Look for Ridder and Johnson to round out the top four in that order.

WILDCARD: Freshman Phenom Carly Hamilton, if she chooses to run the 1600m, she could get lost in the race and go with the leaders.

4x100m Relay

1 Toledo Central Catholic 49.23
2 Massillon Perry 48.40
3 Whitehouse Anthony Wayne 48.63
4 Wadsworth 47.70
5 Pickerington North 48.68
6 Cincinnati Walnut Hills 47.88
7 Reynoldsburg 49.00
8 New Albany 49.18
1 Trotwood-Madison 49.37
2 Cleveland East Technical 48.81
3 Westerville Central 48.93
4 Middletown 47.76
5 Toledo Bowsher 48.45
6 Cleveland Heights Beaumont 47.71
7 Dayton Thurgood Marshall 48.95
8 Twinsburg 48.53

Prediction

Without state leader Withrow in the mix, look for Wadsworth, Beaumont and Walnut Hills to battle it out for the top spot. Beaumont, going for the team title will get fired up and win the relay, followed by Walnut Hills and then Wadsworth. Middletown could be fourth with clean hand offs.

WILDCARD: Bowsher, again they are just strong in the sprints.

Prediction
Heat 1

Graham, McGinnis, Barber, and Hollins get to run another day.

Heat 2

Walker, Rhodes, Smith and Dowell will be back on Saturday

Finals

Graham has a second and a half advantage on the field and will win this race convincingly. Look for a battle for the next few spots with Walker taking home the silver and Rhodes the bronze and McGinnis the fourth place medal.

WILDCARD: Barber, can she run her regional time again will be the big question as to whether she finishes in the top or bottom half in the finals.

7 46 Emily Richard, Copley 11 44.86
8 962 Courtney Siebenaller, Toledo Whitmer 12 44.94

Prediction
Heat 1

Smith, Lawarence, Bonny and Snyder should be back on Saturday.

Heat 2

Kuzmic, Calhoun and Hughey should be locks, follewed by Harley if she is on.

Finals

Smith is the favorite as she has a half second faster PR than the rest of the field. Kuzmic looks like a lock for the silver, unless she can keep up with Smith. Calhoun and Lawarence should round out the top half of the podium, it's a coin flip as to which one will be third, but let's go with Calhoun.

WILDCARD: Hughey, if she can repeat her prelim time from the regional meet, she will have a shot at the top half of the podium.

800m

1a 627 Caitlin Hartnett, Solon 10 2:13.99

7a 515 Kelly Pickering, Medina 12 2:17.69

8a 152 Taneisha Cordell, Reynoldsburg 9 2:18.01
8b 521 Christine Barren, Worthington Thomas Worthington 12 2:21.48

Prediction

Beaumont will likely go 1-2 in this race with Infeld (who is nearly four seconds faster than the rest of division I) and Rockwood.  Place three and four could also go to individuals from the Youngstown region (the same region that Beaumont is in), but look for Cordell to get in the race with and finish third, with Peare in fourth.

WILDCARD: Hartnett, ran a 2:09 last year at the state meet, if she goes with the leaders after the first lap she may be able to dip that low again.

Prediction
Heat 1

Portis, Payne, M. Jones and Hullum move on.

Heat 2

Schmidt, Graham, Barber, and Stokes make it out and run again on Saturday

Finals

Look for this to be a race between Schmidt and Payne, with Payne coming out on top to take home the title.  Schmidt should be second with Graham closely behind. Fourth will likely be Hullum as she has been turning things on as of late.

WILDCARD: Portis, if she doesn't make it out in the 100m or doesn't finish in the top half, she will be running with something to prove and will place in the top half on Saturday.

3200m

1a 697 Claire Durkin, Worthington Kilbourne 12 10:52.98

8a 806 Alison Steinbrunner, New Carlisle Tecumseh 11 11:25.03
8b 900 Kaitlin Smith, Canal Winchester 10 11:30.81

Prediction

Alot will depend on who doesn't run the 1600m race.  Durkin wins this race for sure if she doesn't run the 1600m, if she runs the 1600m she still has a good shot at winning this race. Freshman phenom Neczypor should finish second if she can be in the right position going into the second mile. Ridder will have a shot to come home with two bronze medals by finishing third in this race. Oswald will get into the race and finish fourth.

WILDCARD: Hamilton, if she doesn't run the 1600m and is fresh in the 3200m, she will have a shot at finishing high if the first mile goes out slow.

4x400m Relay

1 Clayton Northmont 3:58.81
2 Wadsworth 3:53.11
3 Mason 3:56.62
4 Cleveland Collinwood 3:51.60

5 Cincinnati Walnut Hills 3:51.97
6 Twinsburg 3:53.10
7 Cincinnati Withrow 3:58.07
8 Maple Heights 3:53.13

Prediction

With three teams that have run 3:51, look for a team or two to run sub 3:50.  Look for Bowsher, and their youth to be ready to roll to a fist place finish, followed closely by Collinwood.  The three spot should fall to Walnut Hills.  The fourth spot will be a very contested position with Maple Heights, Twinsburg, Reynoldsburg, and Wadsworth all having legitamate shots.  Look for Wadsworth to run with a chip on their shoulder and finish fourth.

WILDCARD: Reynoldsburg, if they are in the title hunt, or even for a top three finish, look for the girls to get fired up and run a great race.

7 387 Cailee Allen, Vandalia Butler 11 120'08"
8 320 Hillary Perrea, Brunswick 11 138'07"

Prediction

Look for Dodaro to rebound and put a big mark out early.  Perrea should be a close second.  Ossim will likely be ready to PR again and finish third, right ahead of Gilmore.

WILDCARD: Thomas, if she is on balance and can hit the middle she has a big throw in her.  A PR of 10'+ is not out of the question.

Prediction

Dimitrijevs is the favorite here as she is three inches ahead of the rest of the state.  The next three spots will be sorted by whoever is the cleanest.  Look for Burke to be clean, followed by Brandenberg and Georgette.

WILDCARD: VonderBrink, who has gone 5'6" indoors this season.

8 632 Erin Busbee, Cleveland Collinwood 10 17'11.00"

Prediction

Jacobs is the favorite, but look for Frimpong to take home the win with a late round jump. Jacobs in second followed by Graham in third.  Fourth is a toss up between McKinney and Snyder.  McKinney has gone farther, but it was wind aided, so look for Snyder to take home the fourth place medal.

WILDCARD: Busbee, she won the indoor state meet while passing on her final three attempts.

8 838 Amber Burwell, Pickerington Central 12 40'03.75"

Prediction

Cobb is the favorite and should win the competition while being pushed by Lewis.  Following those two throwers will be a hand full of girls looking to go 42'.  Dodaro probably has the best chance, and should take home the bronze. Fourth will come down to only a few inches between Harris, the Bowling Green bound senior, and Chlebowski.  Look for Cheblowski to pull ahead late since she has been throwing well as of late.

WILDCARD: Wilson, if she can PR she could make some noise in the finals.

Prediction

Look for Nageotte, who has been consistent lately to take home the gold.  Siebenaller, has a good shot at PRing and placing second as she will not have to worry about other events at this meet.  Ahbe could challange for first, but will likely take home the bronze due to her inconsistencies, followed by Hanzlik, who is the only other female in the competition to break 12' this season.

WILDCARD: Reibold, won the indoor meet with a vault of 12'6 and set the indoor record by going 12'9.
