This is the Division II Boys State Meet Preview. Inside you will find five events that will be of interest to the general track and field fan. While this Preview will not be as in depth as the Division I preview, this is in no way a slight to the athletes that have made it to the Division II State meet. Simply it is just a matter of time available to be able to do a preview for both Division II and Division III at the state level.
It's an honor for all athletes to make the state meet, and OHRunners wishes everyone the best.

Ones to Watch
Leslie is the clear favorite in the race, and he coud dip real low if the conditions are just right. Cantley and Wilson will look to go sub 4:20, if they choose to run the 1600m, as will Wilcox and Himelright.

8b 919 Jason Bruns, Tipp City Tippecanoe 11 1:59.49
Ones to Watch
This is Leslie's race to lose. It will be interesting to see if he holds anything back in the 1600m to save for the 800m. Adams, Marable and Lathrop should battle it out for 2nd through 4th places, with all going in the 1:55's. Look for Lathrop to take home the silver as his PR was set at this same stadium about a month ago.

7 763 Will Barr, Urbana 11 151'02"
8 390 Craig Call, Vincent Warren 12 161'01"
Ones To Watch
With six athletes that have a PR of 170'+, this could make for a very exciting disc competition. It could take 165' just to make the finals. Super Soph Justin Welch is the favorite as he led Ohio most of the year in the discus. Barr threw well in the middle of the year, and if he can return to form he will be challanging for top 3 spot. Steinhauser has really come alive since the conference meet and will be a top contender if he can get a big throw early. D. Viccars, Rue and Levering all have legitimate shots at winning the competition as well.

7 657 Justin Welch, Pemberville Eastwood 10 57'10.25"
8 533 Chris Borland, Kettering Archbishop Alter 11 55'10.50"
Ones To Watch
This will be another battle of the big guns in the state. Smith leads the state with a heave of 63'4.5". Both Hoty has come alive as of late and really started to throw big, to the point where he and Smith could battle it out until the last throws. D. Viccars has hit the 60' and should contend for a top three spot as well. If Borland can stay closed and not blow through the front he may be able to hit a 58' or 59' throw.

Ones to Watch
With Leslie anchoring, Perkins is the team to beat. Delta will put up a showing, but they will have to have a huge lead to be able to win this race. Look for a Woodridge to also be in the mix, but to finish in fourth, behind CVCA who will avenge their loss at the Ravenna Regional to finish third.
