The GlenOak Golden Eagle Invitational proved to be one of the best meets of the weekend in the State, and it couldn't have been more exciting where some of the best D1 and D2/3 girls teams battled to ties, with the team titles won by tie breakers.
D1 Boys
The Louisville boy's showed why they are one of the top ranked D1 boy's teams saturday as they dominated the field in winning at GlenOak. The team of Zach Fresenko, Noah Chaplik, Noah Murray, Nick Chaplik and Logan Ison went 2-3-4-6 and 18 (33). Their number 6 & 7 runners, Miklos Hendricks and Sebastian Hendricks went 32 and 35. The five scorers had just a 19 second separation.
Brunswick Sr. Andre Bollam-Godbott defended his individual title winning in 15:48.70. He was the only runner under 15 on a day where the heat was defintely a factor. Last year 5 runners were under 16:00.

D2/3 Boys
Smithville Sr. Joey Coudriet was 3rd last year and won the boy's D2/3 race with a 16:37.30, bettering his 16:28.20 time from last year. So. Alex Phillips of SVSM was 2nd last year and ran 2nd again this year in 16:42.20.
On the team side, Tuslaw scored 47 points in a close battle with Smithville who had 51. Smithville, led by Coudriet, went 1-3-4 but their #4 and 5 runners were 21st and 22nd. The Tuslaw team of brothers John Viront, Jamie Viront, Jacob Wenzel, Zac Wilhelm, Josh Miller, Andrew Wenzel and Spencer Phillips went 6-8-9 with their #4 & 5 runners getting the 11th and 13th spots.

D1 Girls
Sophomore Felicia Pasadyn of Brunswick won the girl's D1 race improving her time form last year by .10 seconds.
The host team GlenOak won a close and exciting D1 girls team race. The GlenOak girls won in a tie breaker with Twinsburg with both teams scoring 83 points. #3, Mas.Jackson scored 83. The GlenOak team, led by #8 Grace Werren, and her twin sister, Hannah Werren (10th) went 8-10-15-23-27 (34) (44). GlenOak won with their #6 girl, Kinsey Knoch, placing 32nd. Twinsburgs 6th place runner, Kayley Irwin was 34th. The other GlenOak girl's are: Megan Wertz, Taylor Brightman, Karley Brightman and Emma Harmon. The Twinsburg girl's, led by freshman Alyssa Deeds went 6-12-17-20-28 (34) (45). Mas. Jackson went 2-7-22-24-29 (40) (49).

Sophomore Ashley Rulison of Beaumont won the D2/3 girls race running a 19:20.20 and Gilmour Academy, led by sophomore, Katie Engle (19:31.80), the #2 finisher, defended it's D2/3 title in another great girl's race, in a tie breaker over SVSM and #3 St. Thomas Aquinas. Beaumont and Gilmour both scored 49 points with the #6 runner for Gilmour, Bree Zedar, placing 21st. Natalie Tobin of SVSM was 26th. The Aquinas girl's scored 51 points. The Gilmour girl's went 2-5-9-13 and 20 (21), SVSM went 6-7-10-11 and 15 (26) (36) and the Aquinas girls went 3-4-8-17 and 19 (41) (44). The other Gilmour girls are: Gabriela Iademarco, Jorja Hlifka, Isabel Greene, Katherine Clark.
