Vote for the Best XC Performance of the Week! (8/29-9/3)

Ohio had some outstanding performances last week, however two athletes had performances that standout above the others.  As Saturday unfolded, Dustin Horter of Lakota East, Matt Scrape of Pickerington North and C.J. Ambosio of St. Ignatius ran what were US #2, 3 and 4 at the time with Horter shattering the course record in the Asics Hot Summer Bash at Hilliard Davidson.  India Johnson of Hilliard Davidson ran a US #10 in breaking the course record in the girls race. As the results came in during  the day, those great efforts were surpassed by times from Zak Kirk of Maumee, Jacob Keating of Lake Catholic and Joe Riordan of Solon on the boys side and Leah Roter of Beachwood and Morgan Gigandet of Troy on the girl's side.  By the end of the day Roter's 17:36 win at Kenston's Frank Gibas Invitational would have her at OH #1 and US #4.  Gigandet would run an OH #2, US #16.  Kirk's dominating win at  BGSU's Mel Brodt would have him OH #1 and US #3.  A great day for Ohio runners on the National scene.
