Tiffin - Olentangy Orange's Hunter Moore wins the Day!


Olentangy Orange Sr. Hunter Moore ran an OH #3 15:13. 0 yesterday at Tiffin.  Moore was 7th inthe D1 boy's race last year in 15:31.50.  (photo Christian Lisle)


Boys Div 1-A Varsity

Sr. Hunter Moore of Olentangy Orange won the day, winning the Boys Div 1-A Varsity race by 12 seconds over Sr. Joe Riordan of Solon.  Moore ran a fast 15:13.  Riordan 15:25.0.  Just behind Riordan in 15:27.7 was Sr. Andre Bollam-Godbott of Brunswick.

The Solon Boys dominated the team race, scoring a low 65 to 2nd place St. Xavier's 111 and demonstrating why they have a #1 ranking.  Solon, led by Riordan and Sr. Danny Cohen (10th 16:02.1) went 2-9-13-15-26 (47) (80).  St. Xavier had an impressive spread of just 30.2 seconds, but it's tough to win without a top 10 finisher.  St. Xavier should move up in the rankings over Louisville.

Boys Div II Varsity

Maumee Sr. Zak Kirk remained undefeated this season, battling Jr. Zach Kreft of Buckeye Valley, in a tough race.  Kirk and Kreft were the only two in the D2 race under 16, running 15:38.2 and 15:41.4 respectively.

Lexington went  104, 5-11-25-26-36 (188) (209) to take the team win over Bay (111).  The #3 and 4 teams will flipflop in the rankings this week.

Boys Div III-A Varsity

Jr. Chad Johnson of Colonel Crawford was the only D3 boy under 16, running a 15:53.4 for the win.  He was 11.5 seconds up on Sr. Tyler Polman of Independence who ran 16:04.5.

Ft. Loramie will defintely move up on the polls and Team rankings, scoring a 152 to 2nd place Smithville's 215. The Loramie boys went 6-12-20-49-65 (135) (166).

Girls Div I-A Varsity

So. Felicia Pasadyn held off  Sr. Hannah Rasmussen of Kings to take the win in the girl's D1-A Varisty race.  Pasadyn ran 18:28.5, just .02.7 seconds ahead of Rasmussen.  The two are ranked 8 & 9 in the D1 girls rankings.

The Cleveland St. Joseph's girls won the team title, scoring 170.  They went 10-19-22-55-64 (110).  Led by Jr. Sydney Seymour (10th 19:10.3).They should move up in the polls with their win, but as the year moves on they may have difficulty with depth.

Lexington Sr. Mackenna Curtis Collins had a good outing, winning in 18:49.6.  The only D2 girl under 19:00.  

Granville won the section, but they are D.  The SVSM girls should move up in the D2 rankings.

Girls Div III Varsity

The #7 ranked D3 girl in the State, Sr. Morgan Dembrowski of Toledo Christian, went under 19:00 in taking the win with an 18:59.2.  Badger Fr. Miranda Stanhope took second, just edging out Mans. Christian Sr. Claire Reynolds by .3 of a second. 19:05.5 to 19:05.8.

The Minster girls dominated the team race, scoring 81 points to second place Columbus Grove's 262.  Minster went 5-7-8-23-38 (51) (74) solidifying their #1 D3 Team ranking.
