Grace Norman wins Gold in first ever Women's Paratriathlon!

Congratulations to 2016 Xenia Christian (Legacy Christian) graduate Grace Norman. Earlier today, she won the first ever Gold Medal in Women's Paratriathlon PT4 at the Rio Paralympics!

Grace was first out of the water from the swim, clocking the fastest swim time she has ever put down. On the bike, she maintained a 5-7 second deficit behind Lauren Steadman. She had as fast a transition as she could manage, and hit the run course about 45 seconds behind Great Britain. However, as Grace's mother Robin says, "no worries - Grace Is A Runner!"  By the finish of the first lap on the run course, Grace had taken a decisive lead. Then, on the second lap, she  "put the hammer down!"  She had an amazing finish, all smiles and waving to the crowd as she came across the line grabbing the finish banner and bursting into tears of joy!  A Gold Medal Smile!  "With God, I Can Do Amazing Things!"   Her mother has said it best "Yes indeed, Grace Norman YOU CAN!
