Sr. India Johnson of Hilliard Davidson has broken course records all year and is undefeated. She was 2nd last year, but this year, this is her race to win. She is patient, knows who her competition is and understands how to run at National Trails. Expect #2 Jr. Morgan Gigandet to go out with her and to challenge her. Gigandet like to push the pace and it has coast her at times. If she is patient, she just may challenge Johnson. This race will be won after the 2-mile, but one expects Johnson to be in control coming off the hill with around 500m to go.
Other top 10 girls to watch and who will be battling for spots on the podium are six sophomores and two seniors. OH D1 #3, So. Samantha Bush of Turpin. She was 2nd to Gigandet at Troy. Another So.
