MileSplit Scholastic Showcase at Spire - OH, MI, IN & PA Boy's Invitees

Once again, the Spire Institute will be hosting the MileSplit Scholastic Showcase.  This will be the 5th year for the meet that is Webcast Nationally by MileSplit and has quickly grown into not only a showcase of some of Ohio's best talent, but also the Midwest's, as well as drawing some of the nations elite athletes from all over the country and Canada. The meet will be held this year on Sunday, February 12th with the number of entrants increasing form 24 to 32 per event and will include All Events with the 4x800m Relay as the last event of the day.  Please note, that this IS NOT an "All Comers Meet.  While the Invitees List is not an All Inclusive List, if you are an athlete or you have an athlete that has met the Standards below and would be competitive at this level, we would encourage you to register as soon as possible.  The Top 32 Times and Marks per event will be entered and on the Final Acceptance List.  There will be no on-site registrations and the Acceptance Lists will be posted on Ohio MileSplit and other appropriate MileSplit State Web pages.  Please note, that just because an athlete has registered, it does not mean that they will be accepted into the meet.  Coaches if your athlete or Relay Team is not on the Acceptance List, please do not show up with an athlete or the Relay Squad.  They will not be allowed to compete.

1.  First Priority: Returning Showcase Champions and State Champions.

2.  2nd: Current and Returning Milesplit National Elite Gold Standard Performers

3.  3rd: Athletes in the Top 10-12 on Ohio/Milesplit (or other States) Indoor Performance List.  

4.  4th:  Athletes who have attained the following: BOYS:  60m(7.15), 60H (8.60), 200 (23.00), 400 (52.0), 800 (2:02), 1600 (4:30), 3200 (9:40), HJ (6'0), LJ (21'0),TJ (40'0) PV (13'6), Shot (47'0), Weight (48').

Registration is open now and some of the athletes that have already committed include:  Cameron Cooper of MI who ran a 1:52.89 last weekend (US #1) and wants to go sub 1:50.
