Jordan Geist Throws 72-9.75, Breaks Own State Record Again and Takes Back US#1

After briefly losing his US#1 standing, Jordan Geist is once again on top of the national leaderboard. Oh, and he broke his own state record, too.

Geist threw a best of 72-9.75 at the first Youngstown State-hosted meet of the indoor season Saturday, reclaiming his US#1 that Woodlands' (Texas) Adrian Piperi took from him on Friday. Geist bettered his own Pennsylvania state record by a quarter inch.

Check out the results from the boys' shot put at YSU below and check back later for more YSU coverage from PTXC's Phil Grove.
