The Northeast District Athletic Board has moved the Regional Race from Boardman's home course to GlenOak's home course due to concerns for the safety of athletes. This has been a hotly debated subject on many message boards the past couple of weeks.
Concerns from coaches and parents that the course had too many ruts and bald spots to allow for safe running conditions has been the main cause for the change. Many have voiced their concerns that the course simply could not recover in time from the Boardman Spartan Invitational which was run on a rainy and muddy day.
