NEOITC - Erie Division #3 - Event Recap

           Taylor Wilms earned 2nd place in the Pole-Vault and 1st in the 60m Hurdles.  


The NEOITC Erie Division #3 meet took place this past Thursday at the Spire Institute in Geneva and many notable performances were recorded.

Taylor Wilms of Geneva High School won the 60m Hurdles in 9.45 and she also competed in the Pole-Vault event where her 10-6 effort was 2nd to only teammate Deidra Marrison's mark of 11-00.  


           Taylor Wilms put forth strong performances in multiple events. 


In the relays, it was again Geneva High School leading the way, as the Eagles captured wins in both the Girls 4 x 200m and the Boys 4 x 800m.  Their 1st place times were 1:48.33 and 8:52.27 respectively.


           Geneva High School won the 4 x 200m Relay.  


           The Eagles also won the 4 x 800m Relay. 


Elsewhere on the track, Shaker Heights went 1-2 in the 1600m with Sophie Carrier taking the win in 5:19.13 and teammate Alexa Jankowsky trailing closely behind with her 5:23.67 clocking.  Annie Zimmer of Chagrin Falls had a strong showing in the 3200m as her 11:38 effort was good for a 3 second victory over 2nd place finisher Grace Steimle of the Maple Leaf Track Club.  


           Sophie Carrier was the 1600m winner.

In boys action, Solon's Darryl Sinclair won the 60m in 7.09 and Jacob Keating of Lake Catholic High School was the 1600m winner with his 4:31.03 finishing time.     


           Darryl Sinclair of Solon won the 60m with a fast time of 7.09.


           Jacob Keating of Lake Catholic ran away from the field in the 1600m.

           Lake Catholic was the top 4 x 200m Relay team on this evening. 


           Sophie Carrier continued her excellent indoor season at the Erie meet.  


           Jacob Keating put in a solid night of work as he won the 1600m and placed 3rd in the 800m. 


           Great form and concentration being demonstrated in order to get over the High Jump bar.
