Kurt Frankel Memorial Invitational - Meet Recap

           Wickliffe's Jordan Ard topped a strong field of sprinters to win the 100m race. 


MileSplit Ohio was on site to observe the track and field action at the recent Kurt Frankel Memorial Invitational which was held at West Geauga High School in Chesterland, Ohio. 


Taylor Wilms of Geneva High School demonstrated impressive performances in a variety of events at the Kurt Frankel Memorial Invitational.  Wilms won the 100m hurdles race in a time of 16.44 and she placed 2nd in the 300m hurdles event with a time of 50.64.  Taylor Wilms was also the runner-up in the Pole Vault competition with her vault of 10-00.00.  


           Geneva High School's Taylor Wilms took a close win in the 100m hurdles race. 


           Taylor Wilms competed in three events at the Kurt Frankel Memorial Invitational.


Madison High School's Abby Piert claimed the win in the 100m finals with her 13.34 result.  Piert also put forth a strong effort in the 100m prelims race as she won the qualifying portion of the competition with her time of 13.24.

Becca Jackam of Geneva High School took the win in the 1600m race with a time of 5:35.40. Howland High School's Maria Dellimuti finished in 2nd place with her 5:42.60 result.  


           Geneva High School's Becca Jackam won the 1600m race by seven seconds. 


Jacob Williams of Howland High School won both the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles races as he produced winning times of 15.34 and 42.84 respectively. 


           Howland High School's Jacob Williams took the 110m hurdles race win in a time of 15.34. 


           Jacob Williams also won the 300m hurdles race at the Kurt Frankel Memorial Invitational


Wickliffe's Jordan Ard took 1st place in the 100m race in 11.24 and he also won the 200m event with his 22.94 result.  


           Jordan Ard of Wickliffe HS collected a pair of wins at the Kurt Frankel Memorial Invitational


The 1600m race was contested closely between Wickliffe's Dylan Barnes and Vincent Mauri of Howland High School.  Barnes and Mauri traded the lead and they ran together for the majority of the race.  In the end, Dylan Barnes recorded the win in a time of 4:35.90 and Vincent Mauri took 2nd place with his 4:37.20 effort.  


           Howland High School's Vincent Mauri took the early lead in the 1600m race. 


           Dylan Barnes of Wickliffe HS secured the win in the 1600m race in a time of 4:35.90.
